Josh Duggar Sued for $500,000 by Porn Star
Josh Duggar, the oldest son on the reality TV show 19 Kids and Counting, has been named as a defendant in a lawsuit filed by Ashley Stamm-Northup, an adult film star who performs under the name Danica Dillon. According to Stamm-Northup, Duggar came to a strip club where she was working in Philadelphia earlier this year, paid her for a number of lap dances, then offered her $1,500 to be his “company” for the evening. She alleges that they then went to a hotel and engaged in sex. While they were having sex, Duggar began to assault her, “causing physical and emotional injuries.” According to her complaint, Duggar confronted her a few days later, attempted to apologize, then physically assaulted her again.
Duggar, the father of four children, has been the focus of much attention since TLC (The Learning Channel) suspended the show earlier this year after reports that he had molested five girls, including his sisters. Duggar and his family were portrayed on the reality show as devout “independent” Baptists, with very strict guidelines regarding sexual conduct. Duggar’s parents told viewers that their children were all subject to chaperoned courtship, and that their life was built on the values of purity, modesty and faith in God. They claimed that they did not use any form of birth control, choosing to let God determine how many children they had.
According to reports, all alleged incidents of molestation by Duggar took place in 2002 and 2003, when he was in his early teens. Now 27, Duggar is the former executive director of FRC Action, a political action committee affiliated with the Family Research Council. He has been in rehab since it was disclosed that he was a member of the adult extramarital affair website Ashley Madison.
