A 1978 graduate of Cornell University and a 1981 graduate of the Widener University School of Law, in Wilmington, Delaware, attorney Mark S. Pinnie focuses his practice on two primary areas — litigation-related matters, usually involving personal injury, and estate planning and administration. Throughout his 30-plus years as an attorney, he has handled a wide variety of cases, also including representation of clients in commercial litigation, zoning disputes, workers’ compensation, and criminal defense.

In recognition of his skills and success in the practice of law, Mark has been listed among those named as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. He is the former President of the Guy G. deFuria Chapter of the American Inns of Court, and has served as the Chair of the Delaware County Trial Practices Committee. Mark also received the President’s Recognition Award from the Delaware County Bar Association. He has maintained a strong commitment to pro bono work throughout his career, receiving recognition over a number of years for his volunteer work for Legal Aid of Southeast Pennsylvania.

Mark counts among his many successes his role as co-counsel in a complex products liability action, which resulted in the largest personal injury award in the State of Delaware at the time of its completion, $17.5 Million against a number of national defendants. He has also secured several seven-figure awards for clients, successfully litigated, and received a large award, against the Chrysler Corporation, and has obtained numerous settlements in excess of $100,000.00 for his personal injury clients.

In addition to his litigation success, Mark has provided longstanding counsel to estate planning clients in the ever-changing landscape of this field. Services provided include the creation of Wills, tax-saving trusts, and succession planning documents for small corporations and family-owned businesses.

Mark also provides counsel to individuals following the passing of a loved one in administering their estates, and preparing the appropriate documents necessary for estate administration for both Pennsylvania and federal requirements. From the simple to the complex, Mark provides a complete range of estate planning services.

Mark is also extremely active in his community, serving as a long-term coach of youth sports, as well as a participant in the Chester County Mentor Program. A trustee at his church, Mark has twice completed the Boston Marathon, and has climbed the Grand Tetons. He is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania.
